Whoās preparing the leaders our community will need tomorrow?
Thatās the mission of the Coeur d'Alene Regional Chamberās NEXTGEN program, highlighted at Fridayās Rotary meeting by Linda Coppess, Chamber President and CEO, and Bethany Parker, Member Relations.
NEXTGEN helps emerging leaders prepare to lead our businesses, nonprofits and community. Its 10-month curriculum focuses on:
š¹ Leading Yourself
š¹ Leading Others
š¹ Leading the Community
The program was created to bridge the gap between experienced leaders and those coming up behind them. It began with 41 mentees and community mentors, and 100% said they would recommend the program.
The mentorship model especially resonated with Rotary: experienced leaders invest in emerging leaders, who gain confidence and connections and eventually become mentors themselves.
Thatās how leadership gets passed forward.
Now, Bethany is looking for more experienced community leaders to serve as mentors.
If youāre ready to invest in the next generation of community leaders, NEXTGEN would love to hear from you. ... See MoreSee Less

š A beautiful fall morning + a group of Rotarians + a whole lot of trash = a pretty good Saturday morning.
Our Rotary crew was out this morning for our fall trash pickup, doing our small part to keep our community looking as good as it feels this time of year.
The leaves were falling, the weather cooperated and the trash bags filled up. Not a bad way to spend a morning with some great people.
Thanks to everyone who showed up and got their hands dirty for our community. šš ... See MoreSee Less
